Description
Finally! A fleshing out of the least understood DBT treatment component. The focus of this discussion will be on distinguishing DBT
case management via the balance of consultation to the patient and environmental intervention strategies. We will start where the 1993
book leaves off.
Learning Objective
As a result of this event participants will be able to identify and select appropriate DBT case management strategies for early, mid, and late stage treatment.

Andrรฉ Ivanoff, Ph.D., is Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York where she directs theย Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Training Programย &ย Lab and teachesย Advancedย Clinicalย Practiceย in the School of Social Work.ย Since 2011ย sheโฏhasย served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Linehan Institute,ย now known as Behavioral Tech Institute.ย TheโฏInstituteโs mission is the dissemination and implementation of DBT.โฏ She also serves as the President of Behavioral Tech, the training company founded by Marsha Linehan.ย She also serves on the Board of the DBT- Linehan Board of Certification. She is former Chair of the Columbia University Social & Behavioralย Sciencesย Institutional Review Board. Her research and clinical interests include theย international implementation of DBT inย new geographies & cultures, theย training of DBT in academic and post-graduate settings across mental health disciplines,ย and theย application of DBT to the problems of those involved in the criminal justice system. She has authored overโฏ90 publications on suicidal behaviors, DBT, and behavior change methods, and trains internationally and nationally with outpatient, inpatient,ย residentialย and correctional/forensic systems implementing DBT.ย
