Fangyu “Hope” Qi, LCSW, is a DBT-LBC Certified Clinician by the Linehan Institute. Hope was intensely trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy during her graduate study at Columbia University under Dr. André Ivanoff.

She is the founder of a private practice serving clients throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. area and multiple states via telehealth She has extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds across outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and private practice settings.

Her clinical work integrates DBT, DBT-PE, and other evidence-based treatments to support individuals struggling with borderline personality disorder (BPD), PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, substance use, emotion dysregulation, and family or relational challenges. She has a particular interest in helping clients navigate interpersonal difficulties, family-of-origin dynamics, and cultural identity issues.

Having grown up and studied in both China and the United States, Hope brings a nuanced understanding of how culture, immigration experiences, and family systems shape emotional wellbeing and personal development. She provides therapy in both English and Mandarin and is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while contributing to the broader dissemination of high-quality mental health treatment and training.
